How about.....Say You Love Me.

Remember the days you would be glued to the TV, watching a TV serial that got you so hooked up?

I have yet another confession to make. Recently, I am deeply addicted to the sequel of Triumph To The Skies ((衝上雲霄). The prequel was a big hit way back in 2003. I still recalled following each and every episode of it without fail in those college days.

Ten years later, the serial is relived with a sequel and some slight changes of casts. Heart-throb Julian Cheung is added into the starring cast, which steals more viewership for the already famed serial.

Which is better? The prequel or the sequel? I have no idea yet as I haven't finished with it. However, I certainly recommend it. The serial does not only talk about the passion of being a pilot or an air crew, but also invokes many meaningful thoughts and principles of life - friendship, relationship, marriage, dreams, etc.

I absolutely love the choice of scenic locations and the songs that were used throughout the filming.
The latter are very tastefully selected and goes very well with the story line or the scenes. One of them which got me addicted recently is Patti Austin's "Say You Love Me". I love her vocal. It is simply flawless.

I must admit I am quite outdated with the music world - be it Asian or Western. It is only through some updates in Facebook that I discovered my idol, 陶喆 David had released a new song lately [再見你好嗎 Hello Goodbye].

Since my sister introduced this new song by Jay Chou to me, I could not stop listening to it. It's addictive. This is one of those songs which Jay brought out the emotion of the melody and the lyrics. Had I not known this song was sung by Jay, I could not guess who the singer was when listening the first couple of sentences. There was a slight difference from his usual mumblish style. As the song developed into chorus, it sounded more like his usual style. Anyway, I like it very much! Thanks, sis! :D

A sudden crave for Taoism!

What may have striken upon me, I have a sudden insatiable appetite for David Tao's songs! I am hoping he will have a concert soon! The memory of his last concert in Malaysia is still very vivid in my memory. His soothing voice echoed harmoniously in the stadium. I was completely hypnotised.

Desperate, I turned to Youtube to source for his songs. This is what I found - superb!

While chatting happily with my sis, a song caught my attention. The singer's vocal was flawless and simply captivating. I took a quick glance at the pop up window of the Internet Radio. It read " Leona Lewis - Yesterday".

I was immediately hooked to the song and went to Google and Youtube it ;p

As usual, I woke up to chat with my sis. While she's not online yet, I checked out other things. As I was going through my mails, saw a video sent by Cher. It's really touching and I would like to share it here.

Pretty Woman With Soba Bento

Wee,.....I had a sudden thrill being back at Amara, Singapore. The buzzling noise of buses, cars and human somewhat enlightened me. Went to shop alone on Sunday and I covered 2 malls in an afternoon! Something not quite possible in Malaysia. I slept like a pig on Saturday night and was awaken by house-keeping lady. It was already 11am!

Anyway, I went out as planned. My first stop was at Bugis Junction and then took a train to VivoCity. The sales was crazy! G2000 sold formal wears at SGD23 ;) I don't think G2000 Malaysia would ever offer that price on sales. Even after conversion, it's reasonable. I bought myself 2 pairs of working pants. That was the first time I bought something in such a short period of time. I think I was really desperate for pants! LOL.

While I was having dinner at a Japanese restaurant tonight, I heard the rather catchy song from the movie "Pretty Woman" - Oh Pretty Woman. It reminded me of those days in Form 3 (High School, Year 3). We were assigned by our Physical Education (P.E.) teacher to choreographed dance moves based on a song selected by us. There should be 10 people in a group. Although I wasn't a dancing queen, I did enjoy the time my friends and I spent practising the choreographed steps to perfection. The song did bring back lots of fond memories in the past.
Actually, the song I liked from the movie is Fallen and it was introduced by my friend. Initially, we thought of having this song as the theme song. However, we changed our mind as we needed something more catchy to make the steps more interesting.

It's rather soothing and excellent for ballroom dance, I would say.

I know I have posted enough videos for the day but I can't help to post another one =p This song I am listening to is rather addictive. It has been playing over and over for some time and yet I am still not tired of it. The lyrics is rather touching.

Jerry Yan Appeared In A Thai Song MV - Love So Much

Sunday morning kicked off with songs exchanging spree between my sister and I. This time, she introduced songs by Jerry Yan. Both of us are never Jerry's fan. Anyway, some songs from his new albums are worthy to listen to. It would have been better if his pronunciation is more accurate. It's nothing like Jay's mumblish style but it's something to do with his pronunciation that affects the song in a whole. I am not sure how to explain that but it just makes some points deducted off from the full score.

While I was browsing through and listening to his new album, I stumbled upon a video called "Jerry Yan - Love So Much". I had never heard of the song title. Curious, I clicked on it. To my surprise, it was in Thai language but it's Jerry Yan in the MV. I read the description of the video and found that the creator edited Jerry Yan's recorded video and attached it to a Thai song.

It matched perfectly. Well done. The song is good although I don't understand Thai. Here is the video.

Although everything happens for a reason but sometimes, it's hard to know what the reason really is behind certain things.

Perhaps it is not clear now but it will later. Perhaps the time of revelation has yet to come. Anyway, there's time for everything, isn't it?

Twenty Two Again...

I am listening to my idol's songs - David Tao. Thanks to my dear sis, I am enjoying the videos she recommended from laptop. Something stirred my thoughts today. So, I was grateful to have great songs to distract me a while.

How nice if everyone is twenty two again, eh? With its light and catchy beat, 二十二 makes me feel younger once again. Well, actually I feel that I can relate to this song right now. Oops,...maybe I am a little slow in growing up =p It's about a girl growing up (turning twenty two), having a dream, embracing it and braving through the challenges along the way.

I am yearning for David's concert. Would like to listen to his soothing vocal again. I wonder when will he have his next concert in Malaysia. Till then, I shall have to rely on Youtube! :)

I was exhausted after work. My eyes felt heavy when I was out for dinner about 2 hours ago. Yet, here I am, watching Jay Chou's video after video.
