Switzerland: Bunny Bad Ragaz

It was Easter. A festive for chocolates, bunnies and eggs! One of my favourite time of the year in Europe because it also spells H.O.L.I.D.A.Y! A long one - usually a 5-day holiday in Denmark. How blessed! ;)

Five days is not exactly long but it is not short either. That made choosing a vacation destination interesting. Anyway, it was decided rather promptly - Switzerland it was!

Despite it was a rip off (after totaling the flight ticket, train tickets, hotel, entrance fees to tourist spots, meals, etc. You get the picture), Switzerland is definitely a worthy place to visit. Fortunately, we received a very kind help from Ursula, representing Jungfrau Tours. She was very helpful and a very sweet lady. Ursula came personally to our hotel in Interlaken to meet us and to give us more information of getting about in Switzerland. She explained patiently to us the itinerary. She even gave us boxes of chocolates!

Below was the itinerary of Day 1:

We flew from Copenhagen to Zurich via SAS. Jungfrau Tours planned the itinerary for us, with every details being considered. We just indicate what we wanted to see in Switzerland and we asked for recommended itinerary. If you browse through their website, you could see there are already tailored tour packages. However, do try to ask if you would like to switch the itinerary of a particular day with another of your preference, they will offer you advice or suggestions. Besides, all the train tickets are being taken care off too. Just turn up at the specified train station and time, voila! Lovely, isn't it?

The first hotel we stayed in Switzerland was Hotel Sardona in Bad Ragaz. It was a cozy, homely, quaint, cute hotel.

It isn't Easter without Bunny! And eggs of course!
Mama Bunny was there to welcome us! Feeling homely and loved, already :)

How sweet, we entered into a room with bunny-eared pillows and a heat-shaped comforter! Later, we found out from Ursula that the hotel management thought my girl friend and I was a couple (because my Thai friend's name sounded like a guy to them). Hence, they specially prepared that for us.

The male friend (who happens to be my hubby now =p) next door, didn't get any of the lovey-dovey atmosphere like we did. Hahaha.

Look, there was also a balcony for us to watch sun rise and sun set together. Truly romantic....

We didn't quite see the sun set, despite there were rays of sun light and view of snowy mountains from the balcony. In return, we found robotic creatures in obscene action! Giggles! This is definitely a spoiler to the romantic ambience.

Nah, it wasn't that bad. It triggered some good laughs. That's all. Actually, I appreciate the sense of humour the owner has, which simply made Sardona homely and pleasant to stay.

Sardona also served home-made-like breakfast (It was included in our reservation) with cheerful hotel staffs smiling and greeting us all the time. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

It was a laid back Thursday. The evening was spent strolling nearby the hotel, capturing breath-taking scenery of the mountains and the waters. Switzerland is indeed an ideal place to relax and retire.......if you don't mind the expensive living cost.
