What's On Your Mind?

Came across this picture while searching for something interesting and find that I could relate to this - "Go the way your heart desires". More often that not, we do have many things we desire to do or possess but due to certain factors, we withdraw ourselves or dismiss the thoughts from our minds, only to regret later what if we went ahead despite the obstacles before us.

Being a Libran, must admit that I am indecisive and had left opportunities past me by many times. There are a thousand and one "What ifs..??" playing in my mind when come to decision-making. Sometimes weighing an option too seriously or too hard will only let chances after chances pass you by and that act itself causes you to be unrealistic instead of being rational.

Having said that, I am not agreeing to do things hastily or without a well-thought plan. Yeah, life is not a bed of roses. Too little or too much of something is unhealthy. Hence, moderation is the key.

It's amazing that human is created with something called instincts and conscience and they somehow able to guide you what should and shouldn't be done. Therefore, if ever in doubt, close your eyes and listen to your heart and mind. They are great pointers. Although they may not always be right, using them more often could sharpen their "senses" and your skills in using them.

From today on, together we go with our hearts and minds. Ganbatte!

Girls' Best Friend

Girls do have many best friends - clothes, shoes, accessories, handbags, cosmetics, soft toys, and the list goes on. It's simply difficult to prioritise which should be at the top of the list. Another member joining the crowd is chocolates! Yikes, according to some researches, chocolates have certain benefecial effects to human health. They could act as antioxidants, reduce blood pressure and brighten your mood if you are feeling low. Some also said consuming reasonable portion of chocolates is beneficial to the heart.

Now, given the above, trust there is every reason to treat yourself chocolates! Just found out that Haagen Dazs has introduced an interesting product - Chocolate Fondue. Thanks to Vkeong's site that I came to know about this and I must definitely give it a try! However, do remember not to be over-indulged. Burning the calories and losing weight can be painful ;-)

Long Vacation

A fun and long vacation is the best gift anyone could ask for. Well, at least for most people. However, prior to that, it is of utmost important to ensure that the vacation is within budget and it's affordable. Otherwise, it would have created more stress than bringing peace of mind, which is the whole point of a long vacation ! =P

What would be the top in your list? As for myself, would love to go to the beach although I don't know how to swim [Well, did go for swimming lessons in elementary school but I suppose I am a slow learner or probably because the coach wasn't good enough. Nah, just joking about the latter. I am a slow learner and has a phobia towards wide space -
Agoraphobia OK, I exaggerated a little. Maybe not to the extend of what is described in the link mentioned].

Beaches in Kota Kinabalu are as exotic as those in Hawaii and the cost to travel to Kota Kinabalu is reasonable and affordable. It also has a varied source of fresh and delicious seafood.

Apart from mesmerizing sceneries and astounding beauty of the nature, the companions whom you have vacation with is equally important. The whole idea of having a long vacation is to have fun and to forget what have been troubling your mind. One who is adventurous, perky, loud, and sporting is an ideal company! For petites, it's best to have someone double of your size to give you a sense of security. Trust you would agree that it would make a huge difference if that person is a gorgeous lad with great sense of humour. The whole vacation would be far more interesting, wouldn't it? *grins*

Asia's King of R&B - David Tao

Gaining the title "Asia's King of R&B" is not without a reason and it comes with responsibilities. He is one of the pioneers who brought the R&B culture into the Asian music industry and ever since then, the industry took the revolution by storm. R&B is no longer an element which is dominated by the Westerners. This caused much changes into the music industry and later, many R&B singers and composers came to rise. Borned in Hong Kong and brought up in the United States, the Taiwan-based composer-singer has bagged numerous important awards in prestigious international award ceremonies. He's none other than David Tao. Borned to a pair of talented couple, it's no wonder he too has the gift of his song cum composer dad and his chinese opera singer mother.

David is well-known for his remarkable vocal and his creativity in composing songs for his own albums and his apprentice,
Tension. His songs range from romance to nature. Not only he could carry off all genre of songs impressively, he has a vocal which touches peoples' soul. I have been listening to his songs since he released his first album "David Tao" in 1997. The first song that caught my attention was "Airport 10:30" (飞机场的十点半).

It was that song which allowed me to know who David was although I hadn't a clue how he looked like then. Anyway, it was his songs and his vocal which attracted me to his music. Other songs that have made it to my favourite list are:

1. 流沙 (Liu Sha)
2. 普通朋友 (Regular Friends)
3. 愛很簡單 (Love Simple)
4. 天天 (Close To You)
5. 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents my Heart - newly rendered from an oldie by Teresa Teng)

Well, as you may have figured it out, the list does not stop here, it goes on.

In an interview, David revealed that he likes to cook and wash the dishes. His specialty is blueberry cheesecake. Before becoming a singer, he had had a few jobs. The one that took me by surprise was he used to be a cop in US. Like many artists who has yet to shoot to stardom, he had his share of hardship while making it big to the entertainment industry.

Majoring in cinematography, David plans to produce a film of his own one day. Am awaiting his first film with much anticipation....

The Golden Knight

Suppose having a handsome prince or white knight lifting your legs from the ground would be every girl's fantasy - well no, the girl doesn't have to be the sterotype missy in destress. I know I sounded a little disillusioned to say that I am attracted to a character in a Japanese manga (to be precise, manga turned into television drama) - Garo. It's a golden knight as opposed to white knight. How so? It's armour, sword and horse are golden in colour.

It was shown in Malaysian television last year and I was thankful for that. For those of you who have missed it, please feel free to see it at
http://www.crunchyroll.com/ and the best part is it's totally free of charge ;-) All that is required is to sign up as a member!

The manga was the brainchild of Katuichi Nagai in July 1964 with the help of Sanpei Shirato and was named after one of Shirato's ninja characters. Upon being published, the manga became a hit among college students. Some software companies had developed a game basis on this manga.

According to some sources in the Internet, Keita Amemiya created the superhero tokusatsu televesion series Garo and was aired in Japan between 2005 and 2006. The series was a huge turnpoint in tokusatsu entertainment.

Garo, whose real name is 冴島鋼牙, Saejima Kōga (or better known as Kouga) is a non-sociable person, expressionless and looks demure all the time. However, he's kind-hearted and protects human-kind by battling Horrors. These Horrors may take the form of human and are actually created from the negative feelings of human and come from a netherworld realm. They prey and devour humans.

Generally, Kouga may not be as attractive in the sense that he's not romantic, expressive nor humorous. On a different note, he has other attractions which would make many girls falling helplessly in love with him. He is gorgeous, well-built, has sharp features, noble, kind-hearted, able to provie a sense of security and he definitely look flamboyant fighting the Horrors in his long, black leather suit ;-)

I would like to compliment Shonokin for the awesome blog dedicated to Garo.
