Rain, please go away.....

It has been rainy lately. Although absolutely perfect to sleep, it does ruin my vacation plan to Pulau Besar a little. Ah, I just need to work for another day (tomorrow) and I shall be off till next Tuesday! Lovely. So, Rain, please do me a favour. Have your vacation in these few days too. Trust you would want to celebrate Independence too, huh? =p

I didn't go out for lunch yesterday due to the heavy rain. Had my take-away fried rice mamak style in the office pantry. My colleague brought Asam Salmon Fish Head with cabbage and other kind of vegetables, which she prepared it by herself. It took her only 30 minutes to finish of the dish!! She's really a good cook. We were eyeing her lunch box throughout the lunch session. Although I am not a huge fan of Salmon (Salmon sashimi style is fine as it does not have the strong fishy taste when it's cooked), I can't help watching her devouring the fish head tastefully. It was an enjoyable lunch, especially having my humorous, talkative, quick-witted and cheerful colleagues around. We took about 30 minutes to finish off our food and the balance 30 minutes chatting away. Great way to distress and to strengthen our friendship. Shall do this more often ;-)

Annual Dinner 2008

Last night's annual dinner was indeed grand. It was held at the Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel & Spa. The reception and registration booth was very well decorated. Kudos to the committee members and the event management company engaged.

Being camera-shy, I avoided the camera man as he kept appearing whenever I happened to be around. Fortunately, my colleague was camera-friendly. So, she took care of him while I stealthily sneaked away. Nonetheless, he reappeared while my other colleague, who was camera-shy as well was with me. My colleague and quickly turned away. The camera man attempted to get another shot and he was unfortunate to have met us. We shy away. Finally, he gave up and moved to another location for more shots. Phew.....

Though there were many gorgeous looking guys in the company, (ahem, it's true, mind you. Ask any of my female colleagues and you will find that I am telling nothing but the truth =p) dressing up like a Bond and coupled with some ICI did make all the difference. Mmm...well, perhaps just a little better. LOL.

As for the ladies, noticed there were indeed a lot of hot ladies in the office and some are already mothers! That really got me envied.

I wasn't very impressed with the emcee, who was actually rude and mean to our fellow colleagues who were sporting enough to play the stage games and to entertain the rest. Sense of humour is important but insulting others to make yourself seem humorous is definitely not the way. Plus, I was agitated by his dirty jokes. As though having a jerk like him is not enough, there's another female entertainer by the name Joanne (or was it Joanna? Whatever..) did the same but worse. All her jokes or so-called "comedy show" revolved around dirty and very embarrassing jokes. I always think that a lady should treat her pride with great importance. Clearly, this lady begs to differ. Perhaps, this is her job but I couldn't accept that. [shrug]

The food was so-so. It's a 4 course meal, which started off with a appetizer (smoked salmon with some wasabi sauce and salad. Unfortunately, could not really taste salmon. It was diced into very small cubes). After that, we had a soup with shredded duck meat. The main course was chicken meat with poleto cake ( still couldn't figure out what it was made of. Tasted like mashed potato which was moulded into the shape of pancake and was then fried). We felt there was too much of meat and lastly, we had chocolate mousse for dessert.

I suppose I had been very lucky in this year's annual dinner. I picked the Ace of Spade during the pre-dinner lucky draw in office, which won me a bar of Ferrero Rocher. Then, during the Early Bird Lucky Draw at the registration booth, I won 2 GSC movie tickets and a Parkson Grand shopping voucher worth MYR100 during the 2nd round of Lucky Draw during the Dinner. Though it wasn't the grand prize, I felt lucky to have won the prizes for all the 3 lucky draws.

Pictures shall follow in due course. I am compiling from my sources ;p

Good Morning, Mr. Cockie....

My head felt heavy. Slept late last night as my colleague and I just reached home at about 1 AM this morning from our company's annual dinner. I was somewhat subconscious when I suddenly felt something was running through my hair from left to right. Slowly, I turned my head to the right and opened my eyes lazily. To my horror, was greeted with a sight of a brownish cockroach (a.k.a Mr. Cockie). Eww......disgusting and it did scared me for a while. Little did I expect to be woken up by it!! Arggh......my blood pressure was shooting up. How could it spoil my early Sunday morning. More so when I just needed sleep!

Mr. Cockie (also known as 小 強 - it simply means little mighty) looked a little different from its usual counterparts. The brown colour on its body was slightly pale compared to the normal brown colour we find on cockroaches. Its appearance also looked better but still, it's disgusting.

I went out of the room to get the aerosol. Upon return, I aimed it towards Mr. Cockie. It already looked a little "drunk" but its movement was still quick. Amazing. Without hesitation, I released the spray mist directly on it. Bye Mr. Cockie! It immediately turned over and looked deadly. Voila! After a second thought, I decided to give another spray on it's revealing abdomen (while it's lying on its back). It reacted, though. Mr. Cockie seemed to be struggling. I called out to my sister to fetch me something to trap it in case it managed to get back on its feet.

Mission accomplished!

You must be thinking how cruel of me describing how I murdered defeated Mr. Cockie. Mmmm.. but wouldn't you do the same?

SHMILY, where are you?

Those who read The Star newspaper would have probably come across this story before. I read it some time ago and I find it very heart warming and touching. Here's how it goes - a summarised version as I can't really recall the full details.

There's an old couple who plays hide and seek with each other everyday. However, the game is not about seeking the other person but rather seeking where the other person wrote the word SHMILY. Once the word was found by the seeker, he/she would then write the word at another place for the other person to seek. The word can be found on the house's window (with fingers if the glass is filled with vapour), table, floor or anywhere the couple find it possible to form the word.Though a simple game, it is significant to the couple and it makes their day.

Unfortunately, the old man's wife passed away one day. Nevertheless, the old man continued to play the game alone. He would smile at every thought of his wife discovering the hiding place.

I actually forgot who died - the man or the woman. Anyway, the gist of the story is still there =p

Now, you must be wondering what is SHMILY. Time to put on your thinking hat. All right, I will let you know but think harder first. LOL.

tada.....It means....

See How Much I Love You!

Sweet, isn't it? How many couples who are married for close to half a century would say these 3 words to each other and how many of them would still show affection to each other? If not mistaken, the above story is based on a true story. Aww,....it's touching to know that there're people who hold the marriage vow closely to heart and would do the little things that perhaps only young couples would do during courtship.

Anyway, I think the 3 magical words are not only meant for your significant half but for those you cared about too. Mmm......speaking of that, I have a confession to make. I have never said these words to those closest to me although I really cared for them. Don't seem to be able to bring myself to tell them. The more I care about a thing or a person, it would appear to others that I don't bother at all. Gee, I am very bad at expressing myself explicitly.

What about you?

Another Hijack

A tanker is reported to be hijacked by pirates in the Gulf of Aden. The complete news report can found at The Star papers. The waters of Somalia is well-known as pirates-prone area. Many vessels had been hijacked there previously. Every vessel operator would shudder at the thought of passing by that coastline.

I pray and hope the crews onboard would safely return to their homeland. It seems that these pirates are getting way out of control. Despite several attempts and efforts that were put in to curb the piracy problem in the Somalia coastal waters, Somalia coastline and Gulf of Aden remain one of the most dangerous places in the world. Apart from vessels, it recorded a history of holding tourists and foreigners captive.

Free Baskin Robbins!

My department had a scoop of Baskin Robbins for free today! A token of appreciation from the management on our hard work for the past weeks. Thanks boss! I had the Caramel with Almonds flavour. Very satisfying indeed. I am definitely looking forward to the next treat ;p

I just received secondment letter from HR today. Will be joining another team on a SAP related project mid next month. Many told me it's a great opportunity that would create brighter future and I could not agree more. Same time, would miss my team mates very much. The laughter and jokes are the special ingredients to make a fun team like ours. Oh boy, I would miss out a lot.

Time flies. This Saturday is our company's Annual Dinner. Went through the itinerary and find that there's nothing interesting. Maybe I under-estimate the event management company. Shall keep my eyes, ears and mind open. The one thing that I am very interested is the food! LOL. Was told it's Western style.

Baby, Love Is Incomparable

I was listening to my favourite radio station 988 fm when the DJ on duty, Jian Wei chose the song 爱情不能做比较 (when translated, it means Love Is Incomparable)to be dedicated to the listeners. Heard that today is Jian Wei's last day at 988fm. I like to listen to his soothing voice and he has been doing a great job in hosting the programme. Wish him all the best.

Most people would reckon the song is sung by Victor Wong [品冠] but it was originally composed and sung by Baby, a Malaysian boy group who has now dysfunction as one of the member planned to continue his studies in Australia few years back. In some ways, the song was made popular by Victor Wong because he's more well-known. Anyway, I personally felt that Baby did a better job in bringing out the emotion and the significance of this song. Conversely, Victor's version was less emo and the tempo of the song was slightly modified, which I thought somewhat affected the "feel" of the song all together.

The video of this song can be found here and the karaoke version, here. It's a rather sad song but touching nonetheless. Perhaps the fact that the song is viewed (or sung) from the male's perspective, it gives a different feel to the song. Had it been sung by a female singer, it would have given a different perspective to the song, I suppose.

If you happen to visit the Karaoke lounge next time, try out this song. It seems to be an all time favourite to some people. Here is the lyrics and the pinyin.

Like Father, Like Son; Like Mother Like Daughter?

Some time last week, I was chatting with my colleague after office hours about how some children do not bear the resemblance of their parents. I am one of them, except for the height ~___~" Both my parents have quite attractive features but they are not tall and I inherit this from them! Why?!! Anyway, after seeing some people who are shorter than I am, I felt consoled at least I am above 5 feet 2. I suppose it was my happiest moment when I was in Singapore. I didn't feel short at all!The girls there are rather petite and most of them are of my height (some only reached my height after wearing high heels) =p Huurrraaayyy.....I am not that short after all!

Perhaps, I inherited features from my grandparents or my great grandparents and probably the next generation will only inherit my parents' features. Weird eh? How genetics and inheritance work remain a mystery and in fact very interesting.

Innocent Steps

My friend's craze over dance reminds me of a movie I saw about 2 years ago. It's a Korean movie and I think some of you might have seen it too - Innocent Steps. The heroine in the movie is Moon Geun Young, a name which have brought much pride to the Koreans. Apart from starring in the popular tragic romance drama Autumn In My Heart, she's the most sought after commercial young artist in Asia.

I am drawn to her exceptionally great performance in Innocent Steps. Not sure about others, but I think she portrayed the character very well. Though she's not a trained professional dancer, I was almost deceived she's. Innocent Steps also managed to get me shed some tears. Mmm...maybe I am the emo kind.

If you have not seen it, would recommend you to spend about 2 hours of your weekend seeing how the 2 hero and heroine grace the dance floor. Worth watching, especially if you are interested in dancing.

Sharing with you is the MV of the OST (Thousand Years of Love). Enjoy.

Who is the Smartie?

My colleague sent a Mathematical quiz to everyone in the department yesterday evening. The answer is the password to the Excel file which was being locked. To those who have successfully resolve the Mathemical question, you would then put your name in the Excel file and pass on to others.

It's said that the question is for a 5th grader. Psychologically, it lured many to attempt the quiz so to prove that their IQ is not lower than that of a 5th grader. My colleague told me another colleague called her up enquiring the answer after a few attempts. LOL. My other colleague also asked me for tip. Yes, it's that engrossing.

All right, here's the question:

There are 7 girls in the bus
Each girl has 7 backpacks
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats
For every big cat there are 7 little cats

How many legs are there in the bus?

Found the answer? Not that difficult after all, right? Just need to read the question carefully.

Au Revoir

Bidding Goodbye is never my strength and I never seem to do it the way it should have been. Probably, because I am very poor in expressing myself. Hence, dedicating the below to those I had merely allowed to pass me by without proper farewell wishes.

Our paths crossed and then diverted
Although unexpectedly and unknowingly
I am glad we have a piece of memory to be shared
That is our story and known between the two only

It is a secret between us
which would bring smile and tears
whenever we mulled over
some time later

How I wish there are no encounters
which would come to an end
So I need not bid Goodbyes
Alas I know this shall not happen

All I could do is thank you
for coming into my life
and hoping to see you
some other time....
so that we could continue....
our never ending story

Steamboat Gathering

It was very sweet and nice of Cher to invite as over for a steamboat gathering at her house. She woke up early in the morning to get the ingredients and to make preparations. How touch! Thanks Cher! =)

Upon arrival at her house, we were greeted by her princess, Baby Xin-Yi who was very much alert when we stepped in. Mmm...she must have been waiting for us to come over so she would have playmates.

We ladies were having a great time playing with Baby Xin-Yi. She's not afraid of stranger and a very friendly baby indeed. Having both tall parents, Baby Xin-Yi is slightly bigger than babies of her age. Her legs are very agile and she can dance to music, mind you. We commented that she could be an athlete when she grew up. Although she may be young, I realise that she's adamant in getting things done by herself. While she was lying on one side, she wanted to roll over so she can rest on her abdomens. However, she seemed to have some difficulties in doing so on her own. Hence, my colleagues and I decided to help her. Once we successfully laid her own her abdomens, she rolled back so that she rested on one side again. She, then tried to roll over. How cute!

I didn't know Cher is such a good cook. Everybody complimented the BBQ chicken wings she roasted. Honestly, they tasted better than those by Yuen's steamboat. The meat was tender and succulent despite being roasted for close to an hour in the microwave oven. According to Cher, she used low heat to roast the wings. Ah, that's the important tip ;-)

Looks finger-licking good eh?

Ok, here comes the main course. We had fish noodles, crab fillet, Teochew fish paste and fish dumplings, seafood beancurd, squid, fresh prawns, chilli fishballs and fishballs.

We ain't carnivors. There were also 2 different kind of vegetables, 3 different kind of mushrooms, rice noodle, eggs, and clams.

The lunch was hearty and we had a great time chatting and joking while helping ourselves with the generous amount of food available. Cher was so thoughful that she had prepared both clear anchovy soup and tom yam soup, bearing in my mind Ming is a huge fan of spicy food.
After lunch, we played with Baby Xin-Yi again before moving on to play the strategy board game Risk. To newbies, it may seem a little complicated or confusing when the instructions are read to you. But once you get started, believe me, you will get all excited! We were cheering and jeering loudly. Pardon us for our lack of manners. I assure you, that was the only time we acted crazily =p * Hope Baby Xin-Yi was not frightened by us *

Whether you are the attacker or defender, the dice determines the "life" of your armies. Aiks, seems like the defender was not at its best of times.

Without noticing time had passed us by, we had played the game for about 3 hours! And we still wanted to continue the game. Gee, Risk can be addictive. Anyway, as Cher had plans for dinner, we exchanged Goodbyes and left for home.

Hope we would have another gathering on weekends. I had a wonderful time. Thanks once again Cher, and to my other colleagues for making my day! My Saturday was truly well spent =D

"Bloody Sandy"

No, I didn't make a mistake by spelling "Bloody Sandy" instead of "Bloody Mary" and it isn't a drink. Here is the story.

Last Friday, there's this lady by the name Sandy sent an impolite email giving my colleague a lesson about being impolite. Sounds ironic and pathetic huh? Teaching someone to be polite when she isn't any better. In fact, the email was full with rude and impolite words which she intentionally put them in bold and capitalize and her email was insulting as well as intimidating. One word which was repeated throughout the email was "bloody" (hence, the name "Bloody Sandy"). This is certainly not what we expect from someone of managerial position like her. I felt myself burning hot when I read that email. So was my colleague. LOL. My colleague may be hot-headed but I believe she could not have been that rude or impolite to deserve such an email. Well, even if my colleague had been that rude, she could have lodged a complaint in a more professional and constructive manner. What she did was more like avenging what others did to her but with amplifying result.

From what I gather, she is very unreasonable, long-winded and often make untruthful accusations against others, especially if she's the customer. That sounds very scary, isn't it. Luckily, our paths had never crossed and pray that will not happen in future.

God bless my colleague and Bloody Sandy. Hope the latter can see the monster in herself one day and "turn over a new leaf". Amitabha.

P/S: Maybe I am holding prejudice against her for what she had done to my colleague but she had given people such an ugly impression of herself by sending out an utterly rude email and behaving childishly.

Utada Hikaru

I believe many have heard of the name Utada Hikaru. She's a famous Japanese singer who had not only made it big to the Asian music industry but also in the Western music industry. She has a very impressive voice and when you listen to her slow numbers, you would be moved by the groove that she naturally brings into the songs. One of them is the unforgettable First Love. You would never get tired of listening to it. Hikaru can also carry off pop and fast numbers equally outstanding. A very dynamic singer indeed. Simply irreplaceable.

While browsing through crunchyroll, I found myself drawn to a video by Hikaru - First Love. It was an unplug version and had English subtitles. To those who didn't really know what was the song all about (like I did), I would be more than happy to share with you the translation of the hit Japanese song. Here you go...

our last kiss carried the flavour of tobacco
it was a bitter and sad smell
about this time tomorrow
i wonder where will you be
who will you be thinking of?

you are always gonna be my love
even if i fall in love with someone else someday
i'll remember to love you taught me how
you are always gonna be the one
now i still sing a sad love song
until i can sing a new song

the moment in time that stood still
seems to be trying to move
but i don't want to forget anything
about this time tomorrow
i will definitely be crying
i'll probably be thinking of you

you will always be inside my heart
because there is always a place for you
i hope that i have a place in your heart too
now and forever you are still the one
now i still sing a sad love song
until i can sing a new song

you are always gonna be my love
even if i fall in love with someone else someday
i'll remember to love you taught me how

you are always gonna be the one
now i still sing a sad love song
now and forever....

Other songs worth your attention would be Can You Keep A Secret?, Flavour of Life, and It's Automatic, just to name a few.

I hope she would keep us entertained with more great songs and continue to do Asians proud.

Something Touching...

The virtue of true love is not finding the perfect
person but loving an imperfect person perfectly

It surprised me when the above came from a friend. He doesn't strike me as someone who would say something romantic or "deep" like this. His fiancee would be happy to hear this. What would be your reaction if someone said this to you? Melt all over huh? LOL

Although it sounds very much like a commercial cliché but there's some truth in the statement above. If you could put aside the weaknesses of another person, only can you see his or her strength and bring the best out of it. So, it's a trick in your mind and how well do you play it. If you could hold on to the mind trick all the time, the other person who may be imperfect would seem flawless. Suppose it needs a lot of effort and preseverance to finally be able to work it out automatically so much so it's more like a routine than something you need to do it consciously.

As usual, most things are easier said than done. Anyway, it is still possible if you at least try.

The Dark Knight

"You either die a hero or live long enough to see the bad guy you have become"

-The Dark Knight 2008-

I have finally seen The Dark Knight! The queue at the cinemas yesterday was rather intimidating. Not to mention the plasma screens kept reminding you that the seating was FULL for the next 3 sessions were upsetting. My sis and I actually expected that it would still be difficult to get the tickets as The Dark Knight is this summer's blockbuster. So, we had worked out back-up plans. We would see any one movie listed below if tickets for The Dark Knight are sold out, with the "most wanted" ranked number 1.
  1. The Dark Knight
  2. Red Cliff
  3. The Mummy 3
  4. Hancock

The truth is, tickets for all the 4 movies mentioned above were selling off fast. Seating for these movies were FULL and not to mention they were full for the next 2 or 3 sessions! Bet the cinema must be happy that its business is taking a good turn-point.We decided to queue our way up to the counter nonetheless. Perhaps those seats were booked by people who had yet to collect the tickets 45 minutes before the show start. We are still early. Once we were at the counter, we requested for 2 tickets to The Dark Knight. The counter-teller said only the second row from the screen was available, as expected. We took the offer.

It wasn't too bad except to adjust our sights to such near images. After the movie ended, our sight was a little blurry and we felt a little dizzy when trying to adjust to the light and objects ahead of us. LOL. Rather funny when comes to think about it. Things got better after a while. No major harm done so long it doesn't happen regularly.

The movie was great!! Although I have heard many positive comments from those around me, it managed to outdid the high expectations I had set basis on the information I gathered.

This sequel is a little different from the previous sequels in the sense that it has a good combination of action flicks, emotion twirls, and comedy. I like a couple of lines from the movie. I find them rather meaningful and something I could relate to.

I didn't know what or how does a Lamborghini look like until I saw this movie. LOL. Forgive my shallowness. At one point of time, I thought it was a kind of drink ~_~"

In some ways, I feel the character Joker is quite disturbing. It simply shows the dark side of human and a disillusioned person. However, there's something about this character which worth noting. One of his favourite saying is "Why so serious?" I do agree that sometimes we need to step back and stop being too serious. In that way, life is more relaxing and we can see the world from a different perspective. The movie brought up a very important reminder that human may change according to time or life experience but we should not succumb to evilness when we are distraught or when we are pushed to the verge. If we do, all the good we have done would go to waste. I agree that it's easier said than done as human are creatures filled up with emotions. Anyway, The Dark Knight had proven it is possible to be incorruptible. Perhaps, we need more perseverance.

Christian Bale is more gorgeous than I remembered. He has very sharp features. I love his eyes and his lips look sexy. From some angles and some pictures, he resembles Tom Cruise (my idol!).

P/S: Apologize if the opening quote of this post is not accurate. I couldn't remember the exact phrase from the movie. I suppose it's pretty close.

Mr. Bond

A familiar face suddenly showed up a few metres away while I was busy typing on the keyboard. My heart skipped a beat. Whoa, it's our previous MD. He dropped by at the office o Friday for business or official reasons, I suppose. God, he's still that gorgeous, bubbly, friendly, cheerful, and humorous!

Then, the Annual Dinner's poster which was directly in front of me caught my eyes. A thought came to my mind. Had our previous MD not left the company, this year's annual dinner would be interesting. He had always lived up to the theme of annual dinners. In 2006 (the year I joint), he dressed up as Cinderella because the theme was about movie and movie characters and last year, he disguised himself as Elvis Presley as the theme was "Rock". He even sang a song by Presley while making his way up onto the stage via a very flamboyant motorcycle driven by a colleague. Woohoo, bet our moms would be attracted to the "Elvis Presley" if they were there. Our previous MD was quite a good singer, I would say.

With this year's theme, I bet he would have dressed up like a secret agent flung by a few Bond girls. I suppose many of us (excluding myself) would volunteer ourselves as the Bond girls ;-) I think he would carry off the character pretty well. Anyway, the truth is, he will not be there this year. Well, shall await and see who would take over that role this time.

My Lucky Day?

Annual Dinner is just around the corner. 22 more days to go! Well, this year's theme is related to Bond. Bravo! Makes life easier when comes to figuring out what to wear. A simple evening dress would be good enough ;-) Ah, saves my brain cells from further damages.

In conjuction with the Annual Dinner, we had a early Lucky Draw today. A committee member came round the office offering Poker cards and was told to pick one. Mmm...I picked a card from the middle. Oooo....I got an Ace of Spade! Cool eh?

Later, it was announced that winners of the Lucky Draw were those who drawn Ace of Spade, Queen of Heart, Three of Club and mmm,...I forgotten hehe. Pardon me =p
Believe me, I was so excited and I couldn't help thinking what could be the prize. We were told to collect the prizes after working hours.

Guess what's the prize.....

Tadaaa....a Ferrari (I wish! Should have dreamed harder)....ooppss,..I mean a bar of Ferrero Rocher (5 pieces per bar). Bet you uttered "Cheh!" So did I hehe. I am not a huge fan of this branded chocolate. Call me a weirdo but that simply is not my cup of tea. *Shrug*

Anyway, am hopeful to bag away a grand prize that night. A travel package perhaps. That would be gggggrrrrreeeeeeaaaattttt!! May the luck I have today be with me on that night. (Fingers crossed).

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time

Thanks to for lending me this book. It's indeed a good read. Written by Mark Haddon, the story revolves around Christopher Boone, who is diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, tries to find out who killed his neighbour's dog Wellington. It also illustrates Christopher's journey as a high school student who needs special attention, his determination in making to University, his little detective work to find Wellington's killer and how he braves through his fears while looking for his mother in London after learning that Wellington's killer is actually his father and his father has always been lying about his mother dying of illness.

I am very impressive with how Haddon paying attention to specific details like the traits and behaviours of children with Asperger's Syndrome and even bother to provide a complete answer to a mathematical question at the Appendix.

Through this book, I learnt that Asperger's Syndrome children is stubborn i some ways and they are adamant in not doing something which they dislike. In The Curious Incident, Christopher does not like yellow or brown colour and hence, he would not touch or eat anything of these two colours. He does not like to be touched either and if someone touches him, he would scream or in some circumstances, he may hurt the person who touches him. When comes to food, he would not eat if the food in his plate touches one another. It's all right if they touch each other while being cooked or before they are placed onto the plate. Although they are not like other children, they are gifted with talents perhaps others do not have. For example, Christopher has a photographic memory and he can do Maths very well. To me, he's a genious when comes to Maths. Wish I was half as good as him!

Asperger's Syndrome children are simple minded, as how Haddon put it. There's no grey area. Only black or white; yes or no and maybe is out of the question. In some way, life could be a lot easier. In this book, Christopher actually described/compared his brain or mind to that of computers. Sometimes, special children can also be rather temperamental and short temper. The same is also illustrated in The Curious Incident.

I think I have spoilt almost all the fun for you =p Anyway, I shall reserve how Christopher come to know his father is Wellington's murderer and how he knows his mother is not dead.

P/S: Oh no, I realise I have forgotten a lot of things I had learned in Calculus during my Diploma studies while reading The Curious Incident =(
