Bring it on, The Minions!

Are you one of the fanatic fans of the yellowish little statue, who drives out to the nearest (or which ever) Mc Donald's outlet just to claim the toy from the kids meal set?

Many of my friends did that and I just fail to understand why the sudden craze. Could it be that I haven't seen the movie yet or am I missing anything important here?

There were long queues in all Mc Donald's outlets you could possibly find and mind you, there were even fights which resulted in a broken door at the outlet for the sake of a toy -.-

.....Seriously? @_@

Wee!!!! We are so loveable  and popular these days. Let's pose for a photo shoot *peace sign* :p

Eh??? Human race fought over us?? Ga...that sounds scary. What now?

Rrrr...run!!!!!
Whoa!!!! I hate exercises.....Wwwwwait for me!

Going down the Childhood Memory Lane - Legoland Billund, Denmark 2nd April 2011

Back in 2011, I had heard that Malaysia would be the next honourable host of every kid's dreamland (a.k.a Legoland). My friend told me it would probably not happen. I had read reviews and comments that it must not be missed since Legoland originated from Denmark and I was just a train ride away from there! So, I went ahead and planned a trip to Legoland in Billund, Denmark.

Well, it is not exactly a place that is easily reachable at any time convenient to you unless you drive if you are coming from the Copenhagen or other cities. Otherwise, you should take a look at the train and bus schedules. They do not frequent as much as the trains and buses in Copenhagen. Yes, you need to take a train and then change to a bus, which will take you directly to there should you depart from Copenhagen city.
Families with kids are advised to either drive there or stay over at the Legoland hotel which is just within walking distance from Legoland so that there is no hurry to meet the bus or train schedule. If not mistaken, there is also a multiple entry ticket which covers a number of days' visit in case there is not enough time for a day's visit.

Lucky stars were bestowed upon us. We managed to get a 50% discounted entry ticket to Legoland because it was the opening to welcome spring (in April) after a long winter break. Additionally, we also got a 50% discount on the DSB train ride! Double yay ;) because the train fare was not cheap especially for weekend rides. The tip is also that, you should get your tickets online. We went to the ticket booth and the tickets were not discounted!

It would have been perfect if the weather was better. The sky was gray and it actually rained hence making it a challenge to produce nice photographs. Anyhooo.....we still snapped away :p
Gee,....was that really me??! I looked funny...Anyway, the main focus here is Legoland! Notice the crowd?
There was a miniature land which featured many renowned architectures or historical buildings.

Giant crab in Sealife Aquarium. Notice the spherical observation room behind the giant creature? You could crawl below the aquarium and emerge right in the spherical room to take a close look at the crab and a photograph with it :)

【再見你好嗎 Hello Goodbye】陶喆 David Tao

I must admit I am quite outdated with the music world - be it Asian or Western. It is only through some updates in Facebook that I discovered my idol, 陶喆 David had released a new song lately [再見你好嗎 Hello Goodbye].

David is known for his boldness in speaking his mind through his music. Looking forward to hearing more of his master piece :)

說了再見

Since my sister introduced this new song by Jay Chou to me, I could not stop listening to it. It's addictive. This is one of those songs which Jay brought out the emotion of the melody and the lyrics. Had I not known this song was sung by Jay, I could not guess who the singer was when listening the first couple of sentences. There was a slight difference from his usual mumblish style. As the song developed into chorus, it sounded more like his usual style. Anyway, I like it very much! Thanks, sis! :D

痞子英雄 . Black and White

I am currently hooked to this Taiwanese drama serial. Black and White is unlike other Taiwanese drama series. The story line moves in a faster pace and I like the action. One could say it's an idol drama since the actors/actresses are rather young - Vic Zhou (周渝民/ 仔仔), Mark Zhao (趙又廷), Nina Chang (張鈞甯) and Ivy Chen (陳意涵) but this is of a higher notch, in my opinion.

Vic Zhou seems to have improved in terms of acting and the newbie Mark Zhao is rather good in portraying his role.
At times, the drama reminds me of the infamous "Infernal Affairs" since the story revolves around cops, triads and baddies. Hence, the title Black and White.

I will not give away any details. Shall leave it to you to unfold the story. Definitely worth seeing ;) All right, I shall resume to follow the next episode =p
P/S: The poster is cool, eh?

Great To Have You!

Herewith, dedicating this song to all who have made my journey of life worthwhile. Glad to have known you. You know who you are ;)

P/S: I can't help but notice how chubby Ken is right now, compared to his appearance in this MV!

New Moon

The cheesy lines could probably melt the heart of young girls. There aren't that many actions as anticipated in New Moon. Edward Cullen doesn't look as captivating as he was in Twilight. He is in pain (for having to leave Bella), hence his pale look and becomes less appealing, my sister came to his defence. At some point, I agree but he is still too pale to be attractive =p

It was an all girls outing on Saturday. There were 3 of them who had not seen Twilight. So, after the movie, we had a Twilight series marathon. We saw Twilight so that the rest of the 3 girls could relate. They should have seen the prequel first. Alas, time didn't permit them to do so. I must say that I still prefer Twilight to New Moon. Perhaps the book may change my mind. I am still working on Twilight, not even half of the book is read. Ganbatte! There are a number of details not mentioned in the movie, which made those who has not read the book wonder a little.

Anyway, I reckon fans of Twilight series will definitely give a go to New Moon despite what the review is. All in all, it's entertaining and it provides a lot of topics of discussion among girls - well, now there are 2 hunks to scream over. So, guys, please bear with the girls for a while.

All right, let me get back to the cheesy-vampire-romance-thriller ;p I need to at least finish the first book!

You Can Let Go

As usual, I woke up to chat with my sis. While she's not online yet, I checked out other things. As I was going through my mails, saw a video sent by Cher. It's really touching and I would like to share it here.

Ti Amero

It's been months that I was following a local TV serial starred by local talents and beautifully written by a radio DJ, May. It's called A Cup Of Love Apart from good looking young idols, the serial contains a lot of messages which I find it very true and relevant.

As I am a listener of 98.8FM, I had previously seen or heard scripts written by May for the radio station. Though I must admit that not all of them are to my liking, they are indeed good ones. A Cup Of Love is another master piece ;)

Perhaps I am a little emo lately, I find myself shedding tears while seeing the last few episodes of the serial. It's a very touching and light-hearted idol drama with romance, comedy, warmth and not to forget it's about coffee! The conversations between the characters about coffee in the drama proved that May had done quite some research to make the script convincing.

The sound tracks of the drama are also worth listening. They are once again locally produced. This is the third local idol drama aired in 8TV and hopefully there will be more quality local idol dramas being produced by our talents. I believe these idol dramas certainly are of the same standard of those produced by Taiwan, if not better.

If you are interested in A Cup Of Love, you may catch it online here. You do need to register an account with 8TV first, though ;)

Always Online..

Once it started, there's no way to stop! Youtube-ing, I mean ;p This video is very touching. It shares similarity with "P.S. I Love You". For those who have read the book and seen the movie, you will know exactly what I mean ;)

It is surprising sometimes, how little things will make you fret or lose confidence but with a little encouragement or reassurance from someone who cares makes all the difference.

亲爱的你等等我

When I logged on to my mail box today, I saw this long thread of correspondence in Facebook on a video. Curious, I clicked on it and the title was enough to catch attention. It's a very short video clip but touching and sad. I decided to share it here...

500 Days Of Summer

We decided to have a movie together before I flew off. After browsing through the movies available in the cinema, my sister and I shortlisted a few : G-Force, 500 Days of Summer, Accident (I decided not to go for this as the story line sounded a little disturbing).

At the counter, I was torn in between G-Force (cute hamsters!) and 500 Days of Summer. In the end, I chose 500 Days of Summer.

According to the review, it's a romance comedy starred by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Sounds familiar? He's the guy who acted in Third Rock from the Sun. Overall, the movie just faired averagely. It's not romantic although it consists of humour, which causes laughter every now and then. Levitt's performance is rather impressive in this simple movie, I would say.

The story started with Levitt broke off with Summer (his "girlfriend") and how his buddies consoled him. Then, the audience was brought to the scene how Levitt met Summer. Every now and then, the audience will be brought back and forth within the 500 days of Levitt and Summer's romance. It illustrated how the relationship grew and ended and how Levitt coped with it.

The PumpRoom @ Clarke Quay

This is an outdated post. It was the night when my girl friends and my sister hung out at a happening bistro in Clarke Quay - The PumpRoom.

Apart from great music from the live band, it serves good food. Perfect for an all-girls-Saturday-night gathering.

My sister ordered "Chargrilled Spring Chicken Piri Piri on Roasted
Rosemary Potatoes and Fine French Beans" (Phew what a long name. All the dishes in the menu has super long names)

As though striken by chicken fever, I ordered another dish of chicken too - "Pan-Fried Chicken Picatta with Tomato Fondue, Risoni Pasta and Wild Rocket" (Phew,..there you go again ;p)
Dessert time, babe! This is interesting - "Soft Centred Pavlova with Summer Berry
and Passionfruit Curd". The outer Pavlova is hard and I find it too sweet.
You don't have to pay entrance fee before 11pm and the menu can be found here. The finger food is yummylicious too ;)
