Yummy muffin!

What happened? I suddenly craved to chew on snacks but I didn't buy any when I went to the store just now. The pastry shop, which I passed by last night came to my mind. It was just 5 minutes walk from the hotel lobby! *grin*

Off I went to get something to satiate my sudden and unusual crave. Upon entering the quaint cafe, my eyes laid on the muffins located to the left of the shop. My eyes couldn't tear away from them ever since. There was a short queue at the counter. So, I had to be patient while trying to look cool about the muffins. LOL.

When my turn came, I told the lovely lady at the counter I would like to have a chocolate muffin and a blueberry muffin. Satisfied, I marched back against the chilly air to my room. I am now a very happy girl =D

Food rave

The clock display on my laptop reads 10AM. Here I am, browsing through Nic's food blog with my pyjamas on a Saturday morning, leaving me salivating over the delicious food back in Malaysia and Singapore. Bak kut teh, Kung Fu Pan mee, otak-otak, the list goes on. Slllluuuuuurrrrppppp....

I better get a hot shower and go down to Netto's to grab some foodstuffs and milk for the day before the room is flooded with saliva. LOL.

Halloween is Here!

Today marks the end of October and it's Halloween! Went for a movie (A Serious Man by the Coen Brothers) with my colleagues last night and people are already talking about Christmas beers! Halloween first, peeps!

It was the first time that I felt asleep in a movie. I was really tired. Perhaps that's because I didn't really sleep well fora couple of nights. The commercial break took about 15 or 20 minutes (that was how long it felt) and the movie started off with some foreign language that I didn't understand. I thought we were in the wrong cinema cell. Haha.

The cinema was rather small with wooden floorboards. The arm chairs were however rather comfortable. Not sure what's the price of the ticket though. That reminds me I have not paid my colleague for the ticket =p

I thought of going out to shop today to de-stress but I changed my mind, owing to laziness. I will be moving in to the apartment next week. So, it's not that wise to buy too many things now since I need to move in by myself.

Right now, I am crazily following a Korean drama - Boys Over Flower (Korean version of Hana Yori) online, which was highly recommended by my sister and some fellow bloggers. It feels good to catch up on some TV dramas after going through a long day. Plus, the OSTs were good, especially the instrumental one (by saxaphone).

Ti Amero

It's been months that I was following a local TV serial starred by local talents and beautifully written by a radio DJ, May. It's called A Cup Of Love Apart from good looking young idols, the serial contains a lot of messages which I find it very true and relevant.

As I am a listener of 98.8FM, I had previously seen or heard scripts written by May for the radio station. Though I must admit that not all of them are to my liking, they are indeed good ones. A Cup Of Love is another master piece ;)

Perhaps I am a little emo lately, I find myself shedding tears while seeing the last few episodes of the serial. It's a very touching and light-hearted idol drama with romance, comedy, warmth and not to forget it's about coffee! The conversations between the characters about coffee in the drama proved that May had done quite some research to make the script convincing.

The sound tracks of the drama are also worth listening. They are once again locally produced. This is the third local idol drama aired in 8TV and hopefully there will be more quality local idol dramas being produced by our talents. I believe these idol dramas certainly are of the same standard of those produced by Taiwan, if not better.

If you are interested in A Cup Of Love, you may catch it online here. You do need to register an account with 8TV first, though ;)

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Sis! Haha, you are one year older and one year wiser, I hope =p
Perhaps we can have birthday celebration together next year - need to ensure we are at the same place and same time. Hehe.

Would also like to thank Fei Yee for the lovely gift from Yves Rocher! Though I may not be able to use it now, I am sure my sister will not be able to finish the whole bottle of Eau de Cologne by herself ;) So, I still have a fair chance to spray some when I am back! LOL

Nay, thanks for the early birthday wish. Yours is coming up next week. Happy Birthday (an early wish)! Hope you will enjoy the special day in Mumbai.

Not to forget and HTL who had celebrated my birthday a week earlier when I was still back home. Thanks!

Always Online..

Once it started, there's no way to stop! Youtube-ing, I mean ;p This video is very touching. It shares similarity with "P.S. I Love You". For those who have read the book and seen the movie, you will know exactly what I mean ;)

It is surprising sometimes, how little things will make you fret or lose confidence but with a little encouragement or reassurance from someone who cares makes all the difference.

亲爱的你等等我

When I logged on to my mail box today, I saw this long thread of correspondence in Facebook on a video. Curious, I clicked on it and the title was enough to catch attention. It's a very short video clip but touching and sad. I decided to share it here...

First Chapter in Copenhagen

After a long wait, I have finally begun a new chapter of my life in Copenhagen. It's a mixed feeling after I booked a flight to the foreign land about 2 weeks ago. It was exciting when I was being offered the position and I had accepted it. Perhaps I had stayed with my family and met my friends for about 2 months prior to my departure, it was made difficult to board the plane. There were so many memories imprinted in these 2 months (and not to forget the last 24 years I was grown up there).

I never thought my mom would shed tears (which eventually led me to shed some as well) at the airport.
Anyway, it's long way ahead and many challenges awaiting for me. Ganbatte! Many told me a year will lapsed before I knew it. Oh well, let's see what I had become after a year. A good point to ponder and to look back 2 years (or more years) down the road.

500 Days Of Summer

We decided to have a movie together before I flew off. After browsing through the movies available in the cinema, my sister and I shortlisted a few : G-Force, 500 Days of Summer, Accident (I decided not to go for this as the story line sounded a little disturbing).

At the counter, I was torn in between G-Force (cute hamsters!) and 500 Days of Summer. In the end, I chose 500 Days of Summer.

According to the review, it's a romance comedy starred by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Sounds familiar? He's the guy who acted in Third Rock from the Sun. Overall, the movie just faired averagely. It's not romantic although it consists of humour, which causes laughter every now and then. Levitt's performance is rather impressive in this simple movie, I would say.

The story started with Levitt broke off with Summer (his "girlfriend") and how his buddies consoled him. Then, the audience was brought to the scene how Levitt met Summer. Every now and then, the audience will be brought back and forth within the 500 days of Levitt and Summer's romance. It illustrated how the relationship grew and ended and how Levitt coped with it.

Haven't Had Enough of Bacon?

I am not sure if there is any one who is obsessed with bacon but if you do, perhaps you can channel your obsession of the poultry to fashion. Am I making any sense? Well, if you see this pair of shoes, you will know that I am not up in the clouds. It's creativity we are talking about! ;pP/S: Source from fooyoh entertainment.

The Wolf and Bear Story

"Hush, Hush. Wolf, don't worry. We are in this together!"

Isn't the picture above heart-warming? Wolf and bear comforting each other. Aw.....
It was sent to me by a friend. We were laughing and commenting how cute both the wolf and bear were! They looked so tame in this picture, unlike the two creatures which we normally see in the zoo.

The question draws to why are we talking about wolf and bear, of all types of animal? LOL. If some of you had been addicted to Facebook quizzes, you would have taken a quiz of "What animal are you?" (or the like) The result of my quiz was "Bear" while my friend's, the "Wolf". According to the interpretation, wolf and bear do not get along.

My friend and I were glad that it wasn't true! We always called ourselves the wolf and the bear, just for the fun of it. We have been really exhausted and stressed out due to work and often, we will illustrate ourselves as the "wolf and bear" and crack up some whacky stories. It's really comforting. Thanks, Wolf!
